Richard Roddis - MSC

Richard Roddis

Richard has dedicated over 39 years to the field of metrology, beginning his journey with Datron Wavetek in the UK. Twenty-eight years ago, he relocated to the United States, and for the past 25 years, he has been an integral part of Fluke Calibration. Throughout his career, Richard has held various roles in both sales and marketing. During his time in the UK, he served as the product manager for several key instruments, including the Wavetek 9100 Multiproduct Calibrator, 9500 Oscilloscope Calibrator, and 7000 DC Voltage Reference. He has been a prominent speaker at numerous local and national NCSLI conferences as well as Measurement Science Conference, he has traveled extensively for work across North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Currently, Richard serves as the Strategic Account Manager at Fluke Calibration. Academically, Richard holds a BSc in Electronic System Engineering from Kingston University in London and an MBA from the Open University. During his studies at Kingston, he lived in a flat across from the National Physical Laboratory (NPL)—an institution that would later play a significant role in shaping his career and life.

Martin Conway - MSC

Martin Conway

Martin Conway is a seasoned professional with over 40 years of experience in the Metrology and Test & Measurement field. Throughout his career, he has provided support across all levels of the Calibration Pyramid, ranging from In-situ Calibration and Field Calibrations to Primary Standards. His extensive background encompasses various Sales and Marketing roles, specializing in Electrical, Pressure, Temperature, Gas Flow, and Humidity Instruments and Applications. Martin’s expertise has enabled him to collaborate closely with a diverse array of industries. These include Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, Bio-Medical, Semiconductor, Automotive, the Department of Defense (DOD), Research and Development (R&D), and General Industry. His comprehensive understanding of instrumentation and calibration requirements has made him a valuable resource across these sectors. For the past 16 years, Martin has been an active part of Fluke, serving in various capacities such as Sales, Marketing, Service, and Customer Support. Before joining Fluke, he worked for a Pressure Calibration Instrument Company, which was subsequently acquired by Fluke. This transition further broadened his experience within the field. Martin is an active participant in industry conferences, having attended approximately thirty-five MSC Conferences and nearly as many NCLSi Conferences. Over the years, he has contributed to these events by presenting papers and conducting workshops at both national and local levels. Residing in the central coast area of California, Martin is an alumnus of Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.

William Spath - MSC

William (Bill) Spath

Mr. Spath began his career in metrology in 1989, training at Lowry AFB during a decade of honorable service in the U.S. Army. During his military service, he worked in fixed and mobile laboratories across various fields. Following his military service, Mr. Spath joined Siemens EC, where he spent four years managing calibration programs across five sites in the U.S. and Mexico. He later transitioned to Wavetek Datron’s technical support team, where he developed a reputation for solving complex technical problems with high efficiency. When Fluke Corporation acquired Wavetek Datron, Mr. Spath joined the Calibration group, supporting the full suite of Fluke Calibration hardware and software. As a Training and Implementation Manager and Engineer, he has spent the last 25 years educating both new and long-term calibration professionals in over 60 countries. His expertise spans basic and advanced metrology, including mastery of software like MET/CAL, MET/TEAM, and CalStudio, as well as high-precision hardware such as the 55xxA, 57xxA, 85xxA, 61xxA, and 962x0A series. His global experience continues to drive his commitment to excellence in the metrology field. He is currently serving as the Lead System Implementation Engineer for Fluke software products and employing software and hardware into customer’s processes around the world. Current Role: Lead System Implementation Engineer In his current position, William (Bill) Spath serves as the Lead System Implementation Engineer for Fluke software products. In this role, he is responsible for integrating both software and hardware solutions into customer processes on a global scale. His work ensures that clients receive tailored implementations designed to meet their unique operational needs, facilitating the seamless adoption of advanced technologies in diverse environments.
